I’m certified through the American Council on Exercise as an Advanced Health and Fitness Specialist. I have been in the fitness field since 1998. During this time period, I have had the privilege of training a diverse group of clients possessing a variety of abilities and individual needs. It is my belief that fitness should be both goal oriented and tailored to suit each person’s lifestyle. My objective is to make exercise and enhanced fitness part of everyone’s life while emphasizing safety and progress.
Dan Magill – Certified Fitness Trainer

Dan Magill graduated from Clarkson University in 2007 and achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. He has been a passionate soccer player and competitive athlete for most of his life, playing in the New York State Premier League in high school and continuing to play throughout college. As an athlete, he soon became interested in assuming a holistic approach to fitness, including strength, endurance, flexibility, and nutrition to create positive changes in life. He adapted Georges Hébert’s motto “Being strong to be useful” as the basis of his philosophy for fitness.
Dan’s certification includes the National Association of Sports Medicine. His goal is to provide clients with the knowledge, support, and motivation to perform fun and effective exercise programs. He applies clinically proven methods to increase lean mass, overall strength, and general fitness and well-being. He hopes you will join him in taking the next step, assuming control of your body and life, and embracing a new meaning to fitness.

Since, I was young I have had a commitment to exercise and sports. Starting in middle school and throughout college I spent a lot of time training as a competitive wrestler. I was intrigued about the body and how the body moves. After graduating with a B.S. in Exercise Science I completed a M.S. in Clinical Exercise Physiology. I enjoy working one-on-one with my clients, helping them make improvements in their fitness, quality of life and health. My experience includes training ages ranging from the young adult to the elderly. I have worked with people who are at risk for chronic diseases and healthy individuals who want to improve their fitness. As a trainer I like to focus on:
- Experience personal training ages ranging from the young adult to the elderly
- Specializes in customizing workout’s to individual fitness level and safely progressing exercise
- Evaluates program i.e. strength, cardiovascular fitness, body composition and flexibility
